How To Submit Your Music For Publication
Guidelines for submissions to Jonathan Hall, Project Editor
Transcontinental Music Publications
Solo Voice & Choral Music
- Texts must be from or adapted from accepted Jewish texts
- Text citations must appear on the ms. and when obscure, original written language must be included with submission.
- Music must be typeset in either FINALE ® or SIBELIUS ®, and must be submitted both in hard copy and on a 3 1/2" floppy disk or CD-ROM
- Choral Music must be formatted for OCTAVO size paper (6.875/10.5)
- Solo music must be formatted for LETTER size paper (8.5/11)
- Hebrew transliteration must conform to the URJ standard guidelines (Microsoft Word format document)
- Yiddish transliteration must conform to the YIVO standard guidelines

- If A Cappella, a keyboard reduction is expected (choral music)
- If accompanied, a keyboard part must be provided. Guitar Chords alone are not sufficient (if accompaniment is for classical guitar, a fully written out guitar part is expected)
- If ancillary obbligato instruments are used, standard choral score order is expected, and the extreme ranges of the instruments should be avoided
- If a recording exists of the pieces being submitted, please include it with submissions
